Description
The research activity deals with the theoretical and computational atomic molecular and optical physics in intense fields, light-matter interactions, quantum information and problems connected with the foundations of quantum physics.
Research Topics
The following research areas are currently active:
- Models of interactions of atoms, molecules and solid-state systems with intense laser radiation fields
- Multiphoton ionization processes
- High order harmonic generation
- Statistical analysis of meteorological and environmental time series data
- Dynamics and characterization of quantum memory, coherence and correlations in open quantum systems
- Protection of quantum correlations in composite open systems
- Characterization of entanglement and quantum correlations in systems of indistinguishable particles
- Quantum state engineering and entanglement generation
- Experimental proposals for the verification of the theoretical predictions
Funded Projects
Our main projects are
- Controlling indistinguishability of quantum bits as a resource for quantum networking
- Indistinguishability as a controllable fuel for quantum information and thermodynamic processes
