Laura Ciriminna, born in Palermo in 1989, graduated at the University of Palermo with a Master’s degree in Marine Ecology in 2018. After graduation, she earned professional qualification as Biologist and since February 2019 she is a PhD student in Earth and Marine sciences of the University of Palermo.

Her research project is focused on echinoderm aquaculture and production of sustainable feeds. In particular, she is working on evaluation, throughout biochemical tracers (fatty acids and stable isotopes), of the effect of feed produced using food processing discards, on echinoderms maintenance and growth.
