MOLECULE IN(ter)ACTION: from in vitro to zebrafish
Palermo, 6 - 9 February 2018
School's topics:
The interdisciplinary school will provide theoretical and practical training on state of the art methods to explore interactions, Structure and Conformation Dynamics of biomolecules.
Advanced Spectroscopy and Microscopy Techniques will be presented together with the use of the Zebrafish Model as a tool for live imaging and molecular biology analysis.
Several experimental techniques will be employed across the hands-on training to approach, both in vitro and in vivo, biochemical reactions and other biologically relevant processes, such as protein structure/ dynamics/function, protein folding/aggregation, protein-protein interaction, and their change as a function of time and/or of the external environment, ranging from solution to living cells and developing zebrafish.
Invited researchers, together with experts from the ARBRE-MOBIEU network, will promote an intense daily information flow with a balance of morning lectures and afternoon practical sessions, followed by discussions.
The School is addresed to 12 PhD students and young investigators interested in applying the techniques; moreover they will learn to solve biological problems at cellular and molecular level.
