The 4th edition of the Master in Didactics of Italian as a Second and Foreign Language offered by the Department of Philological and Linguistic Studies of the University of Palermo is about to begin.
The Master aims at training students in teaching according to the two dimensions of Italian as a foreign language: as a second language (L2: for people who learn Italian while living in Italy) and as a foreign language (LS: for people who learn Italian while living in other countries). Students will be able to teach Italian as L2 to migrants living in Italy, and Italian as LS to foreigners in any other countries. The project of the Master is carried out in blended modality. Online activities allow students from all over the world to attend the Master.
Along with seminars, workshops, classes and online activities, students will take up a traineeship, the most part of which will take place in the Italian
Language School for Foreigners of the University of Palermo, that participates in the program of the Master. Students can complete their traineeship in their home country or in other institutions outside Italy.
