1st Palermo Human Rights & Democracy Graduate Workshop
Palermo, 11 – 13 November 2015
PhD students and recently graduated PhD’s are invited to join the PhD Students in Human Rights from University of Palermo for a workshop dedicated to the debate about the current trends and challenges for human rights and democracy.
The 2015 Workshops will offer three panels:
1) Human Rights Theory: Open Problems
2) Human Rights & Democratic Theory: New Challenges and Perspectives
3) A Challenge for Democratic States: Guaranteeing Human Rights
The Workshop will benefit from the participation of three keynote speakers, renowned experts on human rights and democracy issues.

Summer Course “Human Rights and Security: Justifying Exceptions”
Palermo, 15 – 20 June 2015
The University of Palermo (PhD Program on Human Rights), together with the European Academy of Legal Theory in Bruxelles, and the Ecole Doctorale de Sciences Juridiques et Politiques of the Univerity of Paris Nanterre is organizing a Summer Course “Human Rights and Security: Justifying Exceptions”.
