LM 68 – SCIENZE E TECNICHE DELLE ATTIVITÀ SPORTIVE
Educational objectives – professional opportunities for graduates
The Degree Course aims at providing students with advanced scientific knowledge in the field of high level sport activities and fitness subjects. This objective will be achieved through frontal teaching as well as laboratory and field practice activities. A particular attention is devoted to athlete’s evaluation and to the design and implementation of basic scientific research and scientific research applied to sport. Frontal teachings are integrated by seminars held by technicians belonging to different sport federations and top athletes.
Technical-practical field demonstrations and individual practice with advanced tools for performance analysis are also provided.
Students’ qualification will be tested through the compilation of individual bibliographies and the writing of original papers about the studied subjects and techniques, as well as through stage periods within qualified sport associations or facilities for the different sports.
Graduates of this course might carry out the following professional activities:
- Trainers for non-competitive sports
- Coaches and technicians
- Referees and competition judges
They might find professional opportunities in public and private facilities in the fields of social sport, competitive sport and disabled sport, (gyms, swimming pools, polyvalent sport facilities, training centres of armed forces and of other corps granting National security and defence), sport facilities where activities regulated by national federations and sport promotion agencies acknowledged by the Italian Olympic Committee are carried out.
