Educational objectives – professional opportunities for graduates
Graduates of the Degree Course should have acquired:
- Theoretical knowledge deriving from core sciences, in view of its subsequent professional application;
- Capability of detecting end critically evaluating, under the clinical point of view and with a unitary vision, individual health status, interpreting it according to physiopathology and organ and system pathologies.
- Enough abilities and experiences to face and solve the principal health problems under the prevention, diagnostic, prognostic, therapeutical and rehabilitative point of view.
- Capability of communicating clearly and humanely with patients and their relatives;
- Capability of identifying health problems of a community and to intervene in a competent way;
- Capability of applying, in medical decisions, bioethics and health economy principles too.
Graduates of the Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery may access the Medical Specialising Schools and carry out the following professional activities:
- Private practice;
- Research within Universities and research centres;
- Covenant with the National Healthcare System and accredited facilities.
