Faculty of Engineering
LM-22 – CHEMICAL ENGINEERING
LM22 – INGEGNERIA CHIMICA
Educational objectives – professional opportunities for graduates
The 2nd cycle degree course is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge in the area of traditional chemical engineering and advanced competences which enable graduates to interact with other leading sectors in the field of scientific and technological innovation.
The course provides for mandatory and elective subjects classes with respect to applied kinetics and chemical reactors, process safety and optimization and the design of devices, together with subjects functional to the acquisition of cognitive tools useful for designing and running both traditional and innovative chemical processes., The optional courses aim at providing a good grounding in sectors related to chemical engineering development trends which are closely connected to other subjects, such as nanotechnologies, bio-technologies, energetics and environment.
In addition, the course includes advanced seminars, both in traditional chemical engineering and in innovative technologies.
The course prepares students for a wide variety of careers thanks to their competences, knowledge and ability to interpret complex chemical engineering problems. Graduates of this course might hold high responsibility positions within the chemical, food-processing, pharmaceutical and make-up industry, as well as in the industry of production and transformation of materials, in industrial laboratories, and in the technical offices of public administration.
