LM-78 – PHILOSOPHICAL STUDIES
LM-78 – SCIENZE FILOSOFICHE
Educational objectives and professional opportunities for graduates
The 2nd cycle degree in Philosophical studies aims to provide students with advanced education in the field of historical-philosophical studies and in the specific fields of theoretical, logical and epistemological, linguistic, gnosiological, philosophical-scientific, ethical-political, and aesthetic research. The course builds on the knowledge and competences of the 1st cycle, so students will acquire advanced knowledge of the most important methodologies of the historical- critical analysis of philosophical texts, with respect to the basic concepts, argumentation forms, specific languages, as well as to the interpretative theories and models used in various general and sectoral philosophical contexts. The course aims to equip the students with an ability to perform an original interdisciplinary research project, showing independent judgement on themes related to the philosophical debate and, more in general, on topics of the contemporary cultural debate.
The course is designed to specialise students in the various fields of philosophy. In fact, the individual curricula give students the opportunity to go deeper into the matter in a coherent and harmonious way. Moreover, the course develops students’ specialist philosophical interests relating to class-specific subjects.
After the national teaching qualification examinations, graduates of this course might teach in secondary schools or apply to research doctorate programmes. They might also carry out high responsibility professional activities in the following sectors:
• publishing industry;
