The PhD curriculum in business sciences is designed to meet four basic objectives:

-        produce high quality research - PhD students and candidates will be expected to beable to develop scientific contributions that are both conceptually relevant and empirically sound, as well as to clearly illustrate the extant links between theory and findings;

-        acquire an international span - PhD students will be encouraged to take an active part in major academic networks and conferences in the business sciences fields and in their specific themes of research, and to conduct and diffuse high level academic research at the international level;

-        embrace mobility – the PhD program will offer a network of relations with academics of other institutions and push its students to spend a period abroad, following PhD seminars and courses and conducting part of the research for their final dissertation;

-        strong thematic formation in the business and management field. In particular, the priority is to supply high quality disciplinary seminars on broad as well as specific topics in the accounting, business and management fields and, moreover, to promote concentration of the research efforts of each PhD candidate in order to achieve cutting-edge results.
