General information
The school offers the following courses:
Residential course
- Summer school: intensive courses (Monday – Friday, 4 hours a day, 2 weeks) from June to August
- Winter school: intensive courses (Monday – Friday, 4 hours a day, 2 weeks) February.
Courses for Erasmus students
- Intensive and semi-intensive courses from September to February
Ordinary courses
- Intensive and/or semi-intensive courses all the year
‘Standard language and Culture’ program (112 hours)
- Intensive courses (one module) and semi-intensive courses (two modules). From September to December and from February to June
‘Improve and certificate your Italian’ program (120 hours)
- Intensive courses (one module) and semi-intensive courses (two modules). Some lessons are on the preparation for CILS exams. From September to December, from February to June.
‘Italian for a year’ program
- Intensive and semi-intensive courses from December to June.
‘Italian for study’ program
- Addressed to foreigner students who are attending the University of Palermo.
Exams and certification
The school issues a certificate of attendance in which the period of study and the level achieved are quoted. In regard Erasmus courses, it will be quoted the final mark for the acknowledgement of the university formative credits. Moreover, every year in June and in December the student has the opportunity to sit for the CILS exam (CERTIFICATION OF ITALIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE) in the school. This exam will give a linguistic competence which is recognized all over the world.
Check of quality
The quality and the liking level of the didactic activities, general organization and extra didactic activities are checked by liking anonymous questionnaires. The students have to fill out it at the end of the course.
