About the Phd Programme
Presentation
The PhD programme »Human Rights: Evolution, Protection and Limits« is intended for those who seek to deepen their knowledge on issues related to human rights, in an interdisciplinary and intersectoral framework. The PhD's faculty is composed of scholarly experts in the fields of law, philosophy, economy, history and sociology.
As part of its activities, the programme offers courses intended to increase students' knowledge of issues that are of interest in the area of human rights. Additionally, it offers specialized cycles of seminars and organizes conferences with renowened international experts, hailing both from the academic world and international organizations working in the field of human rights. Each year, a Summer Course takes place, offering an intensive week of seminars, held by a faculty of international scholars, dedicated to a specific topic in the human rights field.
The doctorate also provides for the possibility of conducting research in co-supervision with a tutor from a foreign university, allowing students to obtain a PhD title both in Italy and the other country in question.
