Descrizione:

The academic discipline studies the link between structural/microstructural properties of matter and surfaces with engineering macroscopic properties, in order to design new processes to produce tailored substances and materials (solid materials, polymeric materials and materials for electronic applications). The academic discipline is focused on electrochemical reactions, electrochemical processes and technologies, corrosion and protection of materials.

Gli ambiti di ricerca ad oggi attivi sono i seguenti:

  • Anodizing processes.
  • Development of new surface treatments.
  • Physico-chemical characterization of corrosion layers.
  • Electrochemical energy conversion by fuel cells.
  • Biosensing technologies.
  • Development of galvanic coupling processes for biomaterial production.
  • Electrochemical recovery from Waste Printed Circuit Boards (RAEE) RAEE.
  • Nanotechnologies for energy.

  • Convenzione di ricerca finanziata da FINCANTIERI s.p.a per lo sviluppo di un dimostratore di batterie al piombo acido nanostrutturate nell’ambito del progetto dal titolo “TecBIA: Tecnologie a Basso Impatto Ambientale per la produzione di energia su mezzi navali”.
